We understand that visiting a new healthcare provider can feel uncertain. At Well Connected Chiropractic, your first visit is designed to be thorough, comfortable, and informative.

Your first appointment typically takes 45-60 minutes and includes a comprehensive evaluation, detailed examination, and precision 3D imaging (if needed). You'll leave with a clear understanding of your condition and a customized care plan designed specifically for you.
To help us provide the best care possible, please bring the following items to your first appointment:

(Separate Appointment)

After Dr. Hoefer analyzes your imaging and exam findings, you'll return for your first Blair correction. Here's what happens during this important appointment.
Previous X-rays, MRIs, or medical reports related to your condition. These help us understand your health history and avoid duplicate testing.
Include dosages. This helps us understand your complete health picture.
Write down what you want to discuss. We want to address everything that matters to you.
You'll remain fully clothed during your examination and adjustment. Avoid restrictive clothing or accessories that might interfere with imaging or examination (such as heavy necklaces or rigid collars). As a courtesy to our more neuro-sensitive patients please refrain from wearing perfumes or colognes, these scents can be very irritating. Thank you for your kindness in that regard.
Our dedicated staff will sit down with you for an in-depth consultation to understand your health history, current symptoms, and wellness goals. This isn't a rushed conversation, it's a genuine dialogue. We'll ask detailed questions about:
This is your time to be seen and heard. No concern is too small, and no question is off limits.
We will perform a comprehensive physical examination focused on your upper cervical spine and nervous system. This includes:
Everything is gentle, and a detailed explanation occurs at each step. You remain fully clothed throughout the examination.
If Dr. Hoefer determines that imaging is necessary to see your specific spinal structure, you'll receive precise 3D imaging. Unlike traditional chiropractic X-rays, Blair Technique imaging captures your unique spinal anatomy in multiple angles to ensure your adjustment is perfectly customized to your body.
Not all patients require imaging on their first visit. Dr. Hoefer will only recommend it if it's clinically necessary for your care.
Your adjustment will be based on your exact anatomy, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Your first visit is comprehensive because we believe in doing things right. You're not a number. You're a person with a unique body, unique health history, and unique goals. We take the time necessary to truly understand you and provide care that's designed specifically for you.
Neck Care is a unique tool that Dr. Hoefer uses to assess your cervical ROM as well as the joint position sense in your body. Unlike manual ROM measurements this helps Dr. Hoefer specifically measure the function of your neck in relation to your head and it even tracks your vestibular system. This objective measure is the most state-of-the-art measuring tool on the market and is used across many professions to ascertain quality data.
Dr. Hoefer will review all findings with you, including any imaging results. She'll explain what was discovered during your examination, how your upper cervical misalignment may be contributing to your symptoms, what The Blair Technique can do to address the root cause, confirm the corrections that need to be made, and answer any questions you have. You'll receive clear, visual explanations, often including your 3D images, so you fully understand what's happening in your body and how care will help.
Dr. Hoefer will perform your first Blair correction during this visit. Many patients are surprised by how gentle it is. There's no twisting, cracking, or popping in the neck ever. You'll lie comfortably on a specialized Blair table in a side lying neutral position. Dr. Hoefer uses a precise, controlled approach to correct the misalignment using a protractor to match your anatomy exactly. The entire adjustment takes just moments. You may feel immediate relief, or changes may occur gradually over the next few days.
Some patients require a different position other than side lying and in that case accommodations will be made to meet you in your unique circumstance.
After your adjustment, you'll rest in a comfortable, quiet space to allow your nervous system to begin integrating the correction. Dr. Hoefer or a team member will provide specific instructions for the next 24-48 hours, including activity recommendations (rest, hydration, avoiding strenuous activity), what sensations or changes you might experience, when to schedule your follow-up visit, and how to contact us if you have questions.
Before you leave, you'll schedule your 1st follow-up appointment based on your personalized care plan. Our front desk team will answer any remaining questions about scheduling, insurance, or payment. You'll leave with a clear understanding of next steps, your 1st follow-up appointment scheduled, and direct contact information for questions.
Beyond Blair Upper Cervical corrections, we offer PEMF therapy, Erchonia Laser Therapy, therapeutic massage, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
